Growing up watching “Tom and Jerry” were fun when rooting for poor Jerry to outsmart Tom, but now that we’re older Jerry MUST be stopped, and we now empathize with Tom’s efforts. We found an entirely helpful how-to video showing how we can make a DIY Bucket Mouse and Rat Trap with household supplies that can be found in our garage or sheds.
It’s time to stand by Tom and defeat his nemesis before our barns, food, feed sheds, and sanitation needs get taken over by Jerry’s large family of rodents. All you will need is a five or six-pound bucket; a drill, solid galvanized wire (14 gauge); wire clips, can of broth, RV anti-freeze.
The creator of this handy trap makes a point to let the viewers know that a ramp is needed to help the little cheese eaters get up into the bucket and not to let the ramp overlap the rim of the bucket by more than a quarter inch. The anti-freeze is what will help keep the rodents from trying to climb back out.
It’s a very easy and highly effective trap, and it will repeatedly catch mice and rats after the first set up – no need to re-set the traps! So go check out this innovative DIY Bucket and Mice Trap and begin making your own to put a large stop on the rodent population before it gets too out of hand.
